How can I get an exemption for my wonderfold wagon that I Need for my child with autism who elopes and is to big for a stroller

    Hiya Diana,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.

There’s no better place to spend the most wonderful time of year than at the Happiest Place on Earth! The Holiday Season brings Festive Food Marketplaces, themed entertainment, and more. It’s a very merry celebration indeed!

According to my planDisney pal Courtney, the Disneyland Resort may make an exception to the Disneyland Resort Rules that state “wagons are not permitted in the parks”. While wagons and stroller wagons are not permitted for standard Guests, an exception can be made if a child has a disability that necessitates the use of a wagon. In these cases, a wagon can be marked as a wheelchair to accommodate a child’s special needs. This kind of request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and in person. When you arrive at the Disneyland Resort, be sure to chat with a Cast Member from Guest Services as soon as possible to explain that a wagon is necessary for your son’s accessibility needs. If approved, a Cast Member will attach a tag that marks your wagon as a wheelchair for the duration of your visit.

I also recommend you follow up with Disability Access Services (DAS) for assistance. Guests can register for Disability Access Services before their visit by speaking with a Cast Member via Live Chat (either on the official Disneyland Resort website or the Disneyland Mobile App) who can explain the benefits of DAS and the services available. I recommend you speak with a Cast Member via Live Chat to verify your qualifications for the DAS program. Live chat is available from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. PT and the Guest requesting DAS must be present on the call. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis and fully at the discretion of the interviewing Cast Member. They can also inform you about any accommodations already offered in the Parks. Then all that’s left is to count down the days until you visit the Happiest Place on Earth!

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
