For excursions, is it possible to return to the ship early? I see some are 5 or 6 hours (or more) and it might be nice to return earlier.

    Ahoy, Lavonne! Welcome to planDisney.

I love scrolling through the Port Adventures Disney Cruise Line offers. There is so much variety, from hiking to snorkeling to cooking. The hardest part is picking only one for each port!

When you’re looking for Port Adventures, I always check the duration because they are usually spot on. Since the transportation to and from the excursion is taken care of for you, you can’t leave early, especially on group excursions. You might want to check Private Adventures. These are excursions in a private vehicle or vessel for a set amount of time – you set the schedule and can tour at your own pace.

When you’re on the ship, you can find your personal itinerary on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Before your excursion, you’ll receive a notification of where to meet and when. It seems many times my meeting spot is the Walt Disney Theatre. A Disney Crew Member will whisk you off the ship to your awaiting local guide. From there, the fun begins!

Lavonne, I hope this information has helped you chart your course for adventure. If you have any additional questions, please sail back to planDisney. We are here to help!

Meet the Panelist: Tracie, Florida

Ahoy! Just like Moana, I feel the irresistible call of the sea. I think the best vacation is aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship – thankfully, my family agrees. Whether savoring gelato in Italy, snorkeling in Mexico, or basking in the sea breeze on deck, each destination fills us with memories to last a lifetime. I look forward to helping your family plan a Disney Cruise Line adventure brimming with cherished moments!
