Well hi there Jennifer, and welcome aboard planDisney!
Growing up I was always a fan of school field trips - there was just something really exciting about boarding a bus and ending up somewhere different to learn and enjoy first-hand with everyone else for the first time and have that memory to share upon our return. This is why I've always loved being able to head out on the various tours and excursions offered on the
Port Adventures that you'll find each time that your ship sails into a destination.
In my experience, the amount of these Port Adventures is only limited by their duration, the length of time you have in port (especially in destinations that have an overnight stop) and whether you've got the adventurous wherewithal to do as much as you can from the moment that you disembark until it's All Aboard time.
The one thing that I would caution against is choosing to do multiple expeditions that require a long ride out whether it's by bus or by ferry, as I've definitely experienced my share of close calls in Ports like Civitavecchia or Cozumel that might require a bit of a journey to see major marvels like
Chichen Itza or
the Colosseum. I recommend checking with the Crew Members at the
Port Adventures Desk about the meet-up and departure times to ensure that there are no conflicts, but it's always safe to have a buffer zone in between just in case you encounter any transportation delays or if you just want to drop off anything you've picked up along the way, freshen up or have a snack in between. Whatever you choose to do Jennifer, I hope you have an amazing time doing everything you can in each Port, and be sure to
come back to planDisney again for any more advice ahead of your next adventure!
Wishing you all the best on your future excursion-filled quest!
