The excursion on castaway for the Seahorse Catamaran Snorkel, will you see more fish than in the lagoon? Tell me more about this excursion. Thanks!

    Hi, Laura!

Snorkeling from shore is a different experience than being taken out to open water by boat as is with the case of the Seahorse Catamaran Snorkel on Castaway Cay.  Of course, the water is deeper. Therefore, there will be more underwater wildlife and opportunities to see a larger variety of marine animals. However, conditions (such as wind and waves) are more of a factor when you're snorkeling in the open water, and you and those in your party need to be comfortable with the fact that there's no net which attempt to keep the big fishies away from the area.  Some skin divers like that aspect, and some would rather have a more controlled environment.  That's up to you, and that's the major difference in the two snorkeling experiences on Castaway Cay.

Maybe knowing those things will help you make an informed decision for you and yours. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
