Hi Lauren! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
We vacationed at Disneyland Resort in August and found it to be a great time to visit. Timed at the end of the month, you might even experience lighter crowds, especially on weekdays. The weather is pretty warm in August, so pack the sunscreen, sunglasses, lighter clothing, and reusable water bottles, and park hours are long, giving you plenty of time to enjoy all the magic. I'd plan a break midday for either a nap or a dip in your
Disneyland Resort Hotel pool. Both are refreshing on long hot days, so you're ready for more evening magic.
It's a little early yet to know exactly what is planned for August--keep your eye on the
Entertainment Schedule and
Disney Parks Blog for updates--but I do know the
Disney100 Celebration at Disneyland Park will still be underway. This is a year-long event, which features festive décor, merchandise, treats, and entertainment. My friends at planDisney love the new entertainment at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park that debuted as part of the festivities, so I've got the
"Magic Happens" Parade and
World of Color - ONE on my must-do list for our summer visit. I hope you enjoy planning and anticipating your upcoming visit too!
Have the best time.
Elizabeth
