Welcome to planDisney, Molly! I'm so glad that I can answer your question today about your long-anticipated trip to Walt Disney World Resort. I'm sure that you've got your
dining reservations lined up and your packing list ready to go, and the only thing left to do is finish counting down the days to your vacation!
At this time, there are some
safety measures in place at the Theme Parks and Resort Hotels that include mandatory face coverings for all guests ages two and over. For the safety of you and your family as well as the Cast Members and other guests around you, masks are required at all times except for when you're eating, drinking, or swimming, and that includes while you're having your photo taken.
Disney PhotoPass photographers will ask that you keep your mask on when they're taking your photo, but they will still snap all of the fun magical shots that you remember from your previous trips.
I definitely understand that photos are a big part of your vacation. The Disney PhotoPass pictures that I take with my friends and family are some of my favorite souvenirs! I expect that this vacation will be one that you look back on fondly as something that was a little bit different than what you're used to but still super magical and tons of fun. I have a trip coming up just a few weeks after you and I know that I'm looking forward to taking as many pictures as possible in my masks to remember this brief moment in time. This is a great opportunity to stock up on some matching Disney-themed masks for your family so that you have a fun coordinated look in your pictures. The ones that I got from
shopDisney.com are some of the most comfortable and breathable that I've tried, and they come in so many different designs and sizes that you'll be able to find the perfect mask for every member of your party!
Have a magical day, Molly!
