So excited to see WDW at Christmas for the first time!. Just moved to FL, new residents pass. Are the special lights on Cinderella's Castle every night during the Christmas season or just the nights of the MVMCP?

Hi there, Ann! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel - and welcome to the Sunshine State!

Christmas at Walt Disney World is truly magical. I adore all the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of a Disney holiday. And when the Magic Kingdom Park is all decked out in its holiday splendor, it's even more beautiful. One of the highlights of a Magic Kingdom Christmas is the sight of Cinderella Castle as a shimmery ice palace. You won't believe how realistic it looks, even though it's just a layer of twinkling lights.

There's a short show that accompanies the Castle lighting, which usually takes place twice each night during the season. The first lighting is normally around 6:15, so you'll have plenty of time to see it, even if you're there on a night the Theme Park closes at 7:00 p.m. for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

For more details on upcoming events this holiday season, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. I hope this helps you plan your holiday visit, Ann, and enjoy all those Disney days to come!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
