Bright Suns, Kameron, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I’m so excited for your journey to a galaxy far, far away… it will be here before you know it!
There’s nothing like seeing the
Millennium Falcon in person for the first time… visiting
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is an experience you’ll never forget! Plus, you’ll have the chance to experience
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, opening on January 17!
I checked with a Cast Member, and was told you shouldn’t have a problem shipping your droid unit home domestically upon completion. He recommended letting the Cast Member at the
Droid Depot cash register know that you’d prefer to ship your droid so that they can guide you through the process. (You’ll pay for the droid-building experience before you actually begin building your droid).
When I first visited Batuu with my son this past summer, the first thing he wanted to do was build a custom astromech droid unit at Droid Depot! We loved the entire process, from selecting the droid’s components from a conveyor belt, to the assembly process, all the way to the activation. He got such a thrill out of seeing his new droid come to life! Once your droid is built, you can purchase a special backpack to carry it in, and continue customizing it with optional accessories to change its personality. It’s fun to watch your droid interact with other droids and elements throughout Black Spire Outpost!
I recommend making a reservation for Droid Depot
online or using the
Disneyland app. I also recommend making a reservation for the local watering hole,
Oga’s Cantina at the Disneyland Resort, featuring both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. I love sipping on a
Yub Nub while listening to the beats of DJ R-3X. My son loves the
Blue Bantha!
Last, but certainly not least, no trip to Batuu is complete without visiting the
Milk Stand and sampling the Blue or Green Milk. You can even mix the two for a refreshing concoction!
May the Force be with you, Kameron!
