Rhonda from ON Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello! We are so excited to be visiting on April 16th and 17th of this month!!! My question for you is… is it possible to upgrade to a park hopper pass for one day, or do we have to upgrade for both days?

    Hi there, Rhonda!

Thank you for stopping back by planDisney! Can you believe your magical downtown will soon be measured in days instead of weeks? How wonderful that you are about to hop into the middle of the magic! Speaking of hopping, let's talk about one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort pastimes, park hopping.

Guests who are hoping to visit multiple theme parks in a single day will need to add the Park Hopper option to their theme park ticket, and Walt Disney World Resort policy is that this option must be added for the entire length of the ticket even if it is not used every day.

Personally, I love the freedom and flexibility the Park Hopper option provides. I was recently gifted 'Lizzie's Perfect Disney Day' by my husband for my birthday which involved experiencing all of my favorite meals, attractions, entertainment, and photo ops. Because these aren't all located in one theme park, the Park Hopper option enabled a ride on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Slinky Dog Dash on the same day. Park Hopping also ensures I have the opportunity to enjoy my favorite Walt Disney World Resort transportation options: the Monorail and the Disney Skyliner.

Another benefit of the Park Hopper option is that it allows Guests to embrace spontaneity and respond to crowd fluctuations. Let's say you're enjoying a morning in Magic Kingdom Park but notice the My Disney Experience mobile app is indicating that wait times at Disney's Hollywood Studios are significantly lower than what you are experiencing in Tomorrowland. With the Park Hopper option, you're free to hop aboard a bus and head where the people aren't.

While the Park Hopper option is an additional cost, I always recommend it if possible. With so many delicious options featured at the Outdoor Kitchens of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, you might find yourself wanting to hop back by for an extra bite.

I hope this was helpful, Rhonda, and that you have a practically perfect vacation. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to stop back by. I'm always happy to help!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
    Lizzie
