Hi Carrie,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question. There’s nothing like resting your tired feet, enjoying some air conditioning, and cooling off with a refreshing drink after a long day in the theme parks.
The 2018
Disney Dining Plan does include an expansion of included beverages, including alcoholic drinks. There are plenty of non-alcoholic options available in the expanded options, including artisanal milkshakes, fresh smoothies, premium hot chocolate, and soda, coffee, and tea. I would check the menus for the restaurants you’re considering visiting during your stay to see what beverages are offered, as there are so many options. Menus are available on the Walt Disney World Resort Website, listed on the page for each restaurant. They can also be viewed in the My Disney Experience mobile app. Carrie, it’s my understanding that while specialty beverages are included in the new plan, souvenir cups and things like glow cubes are excluded – though you can always add those and pay out of pocket, as they make really wonderful souvenirs.
As you look at menus, please remember that offerings are subject to change. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, as they often announce new and seasonal food and drink offerings. My children and I love the Odwalla All-Natural Lemonade that’s served at locations around the parks, and if you head over to
50’s Prime Time Café in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you must try the amazing Peanut Butter & Jelly milkshake.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
