Hi, We are so excited to visit Disneyworld in a few weeks. I luckily scored a reservation for Space 220 on my birthday. Is there a special birthday dessert or a way to order a cake for the night? Thanks!

Hi, Kari Anne! Your planDisney pals wish you an astronomically awesome birthday!

How exciting that you managed to snag a reservation for Space 220, the new star of the Walt Disney World Resort dining scene! From the moment you step on the space elevator and travel 220 miles above the Earth's surface, you'll be in for an experience that's truly out of this world.

And of course, you can't have a galactically grand birthday without a sweet treat to go with it. Space 220 unfortunately isn't on the list of participating restaurants for special ordering cakes at the moment, but I do have a couple of ideas to make your birthday extra sweet. First, be sure to let the Cast Member who checks you in know that you're celebrating a birthday. There's usually a special surprise that your server can cook up for you in honor of your big day.

Another thought is to hop over to the France pavilion just before your reservation and pick up a scrumptious creation from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. You can ask them to box it up for you so you can take it to enjoy at Space 220. Indulging in a French delicacy in space is what I sincerely hope the future looks like!

Kari Anne, your birthday meal is going to be incredibly special! I'm so excited for you to take in the amazing atmosphere at Space 220. Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, and have a blast on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
