I was so excited for our upcoing trip in mid Oct as we had just been picked for the wristbands. Now having to reschedule to mid Jan - what are crowds like then? are there any compeitions gong on then? what about the weather?

    Hello Rosamaria,

I'm sorry that you have to reschedule your trip, but happy that you are already thinking ahead and looking forward to a new date for travel to this magical place.

I think mid-January is a wonderful time to travel. Crowds tend to be lighter due to the fact that many people traveled during the holidays and are back to work or school around this time. The 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon weekend is scheduled for January 8-12, 2014 and will attract some increased crowds for those attending this event either as runners or spectators. However, after that weekend, the crowds should go down.

The weather in January is often quite nice. The average temperatures are highs in the low 70s and lows in the 50s. You will want to layer your clothing and bring a jacket and long pants for the evenings for sure. Obviously, weather can be unpredictable, but hopefully this can give you an idea on the typical and average weather for that time of year.

    Have a magical trip!
