Excited about our trip 8/30-9/6. Have been trying to get into Trex or Rainforest Cafe since 180 days and no luck. I recheck every day. Can you go and wait for a table. Thinking if we get there around 400 we may have a chace. Thoughts?

    Hello Kim,

Thanks for stopping by with your vacation planning questions. We are always here to help guests out where we can. I bet your family is getting super excited about the magical trip just around the corner.

Both T-REX and Rainforest Cafe are loads of fun with their amazing lifelike atmosphere and fun menu options. For this reason, they can also be super popular. I'm sorry to hear that you have been trying so hard to get these reservations. My suggestion would be to keep trying. I know it can be a hassle to try every day, but you just never know when there will be a cancellation. Don't forget that you can check online as well as calling the Disney Dining line (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463). Sometimes, the cast member can find something that might not have shown up online just yet. Now, this is not a guarantee, but sometimes speaking with a live person helps, too.

T-REX does open for dinner at 4pm, but both locations of Rainforest Cafe (Downtown Disney and Disney's Animal Kingdom) do not start serving dinner until 5pm, but lunch is served at both Rainforest Cafe locations until 4:55pm. Being a walk-up doesn't always guarantee that you will get a table or have a shorter wait, so I just want to make you aware of that. Again, it never hurts to try, but no guarantees can be made.

Have an awesome time. Your trip will be here before you can say, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"
