Hi Fleur,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!
I completely understand trying to be more relaxed about your dining plans during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. After all, it’s a vacation! I’m happy to say that
several lounges located at Disney Resort Hotels, including the
California Grill Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and
Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa do accept the
Disney Dining Plan to pay for any meals that you may consume there.
It’s difficult however to say that all of the lounges accept the Disney Dining Plan as this information is always subject to change. My recommendation would be to ask your
Lobby Concierge whether the lounge that you’d like to visit that night accepts the Disney Dining Plan, before you visit it. They’ll be happy to give you the most up-to-date information about that location. And, don’t forget, most Disney lounges seat Guests on a first come, first serve basis, so you might have to wait a bit for a table.
As an alternative, I’ve found that several
Disney dining reservations for extremely popular restaurants, including Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park, often pop up the day beforehand. If you can be flexible about your dining times, perhaps checking what’s available the day before might be a great way to maximize your vacation flexibility and maximize the value of your Disney Dining Plan, too!
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
