Excited about our trip at the end of Jan 2010 with our 2 boys, 8 & 4. Realistically, how warm is it going to be?? Packing wise, should I be bringing both shorts and pants? Also, do they keep the pools warmer at this time of year?

Hi, Wendy!   January is the coldest month of the year in Orlando.  Now this is all relative - this means low 60's on average.  But, it can reach into the 70's and dip down into the low 50's.    Now for my family, coming from a frigid Cleveland, 60 degrees feels like a heat wave!   We usually pack shorts and plan on wearing pants and jackets once the sun goes down.  Plan to visit just before your trip so you can see what weather to expect so you can pack accordingly.

We have also gone in early February when it has reached the 80's, so do bring your swimsuits for really nice days.  Plus, the pools are heated making it even better!  Enjoy!
