Hello there! So excited to have have just booked a Halloween cruise oct 28-31 on the Wish!!! Is is cruise casual all 3 days? Halloween and/or pirate costumes? Special theme menu? (Hopefully no on the menu as we were looking forward to the new restaurants

Ahoy there, Christina! Welcome aboard planDisney!

Ah, you've taken the plunge and are going to embark on the Disney Wish during its inaugural season? What an amazing adventure for you and your crew! My family and I are also booked on a Disney Wish Halloween on the High Seas itinerary this fall, so you and me, we're in a club now!

Halloween on the High Seas itineraries are some of my family's favorites! There is just something so magical about celebrating ANY holiday aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships, but between you and me, I think Halloween is the best. Maybe I'm biased (and I don't like to brag) but my wife and I even won "Most Disney" in the costume contest a few years back for our Kristoff and Sven costumes, which could have something to do with it, haha!

So if you haven't guessed by now, you ABSOLUTELY should plan on packing some Halloween costumes for your cruise in October! I'm a big fan of staying cruise casual as much as possible, but I make an exception for Halloween and adult-exclusive dining! While we're not exactly sure what Halloween on the High Seas will look like specifically on the Disney Wish, if the other ships are anything to go by, you and your crew can look forward to amazing decorations, some spooky character appearances, ghost stories, and special Halloween-themed activities - maybe even some trick-or-treating, so costumes are definitely encouraged for Guests of all ages! It's a frightfully good time, and I'll make that "dad joke" every minute of every day.

Oh, and you'll be happy to know there are no Pirate Nights scheduled on any of the 3-Night itineraries on the Disney Wish, so you'll get to experience the new restaurants with their standard menus. I'm with you - I'd have been a bit sad if I missed out on 1923, Worlds of Marvel, or Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure!

I hope that helps you set a course for your adventure this October, Christina! Thank you so much for your question! If you need any additional planning help - or maybe even a few costume ideas - you can always sail my way again and drop a message in a bottle my way here at planDisney!

THIS IS HALLOWEEN THIS IS HALLOWEEN!
