Hi Jessica!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Tiffins was amazing for my husband and I, but it was very hard to find something that our very picky 6-year-old would eat. We talked to our server about possible substitutions, maybe chicken nuggets and fries, but they couldn’t offer us anything at the time. We ended up having to feed her the crackers I had brought along as snacks for the day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom – they saved our lives!
I admit that I was so excited about dining at Tiffins that I did not take the time to evaluate if it was a good choice for our daughter. This was our experience, maybe you will have a different one, but be prepared. If I could turn back time, I would have first stopped at a Quick-Service location to get her something to eat and buy her dessert separately at Tiffins or just decide on a different venue.
If you do not want to have left over credits, consider paying out of pocket and using your entitlements at another signature dining location or a dinner show. Our daughter really enjoyed
California Grill and
Mickey’s Backyard BBQ, for example. You can also choose to enjoy two different dining experiences that take 1 Table-Service credit per Guest. In case you decide to use your Disney Dining Plan entitlements for you and your husband only at Tiffins, you can later exchange each of your son’s remaining Table-Service credits for Quick-Service meals, which in turn can be exchanged for Snacks. Please note this is subject to each dining location's policies.
I hope this helps you while planning, Jessica!
Happy magical dining!
