Hello, we are excited to be taking our grandchildren, and children to Disneyworld from Dec 22-31. I am wondering about the Christmas parade how I purchase tickets for it and how how the tickets are. Thanking you in advance.

    Hi Colleen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question! Sounds like you and your loved ones are in for a magical Holiday Season at Walt Disney World Resort!

I have some bad news and some good news for you. First, the bad news: the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade that you see on television on Christmas Day is actually taped in early December. There is no “special” Christmas parade on Christmas Day in any of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks.

The good news? For the past few years, Guests have been able to experience slightly modified versions of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade during the day and Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season at night, even though these entertainment offerings are usually limited to guests that get to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (last presentation of that Special Event is on December 18, which is unfortunately prior to your arrival). I don’t know whether that’s going to be the case once again this year (the Magic Kingdom Park schedule for Christmas Day isn’t complete yet), but keep checking! You’ll never know what kinds of surprises will be in store during your Holiday visit!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
