We are excited about staying at Art of Animation in September. Will Disney movies be available in the room? Are DVD players in the rooms?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Chris! Snuggling into our Disney Resort Hotel beds at night is one of my family’s favorite things. From the new Mickey cartoons that run exclusively on channel 30 to the bedtime Duffy stories, we know exactly what kind of entertainment we can find on the in-room TV sets. You’ll find Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD, as well as the large national channels and a wide array of sports and news channels.

While there is not a Disney movie channel, my husband often loads our favorite Disney flicks on our iPad and hand this off to the kids with a set of headphones when one is napping or in the shower. It’s an easy trade. There are no DVD players in any of the standard Disney Resort hotel rooms I have stayed in, but you will find them in some of the DVC villas. Another special offering at each Walt Disney World Resort hotel is Movies Under the Stars. You can stretch out on the lawns of your hotel with snacks and drinks to enjoy a Disney Movie on a large inflatable screen with various titles throughout the week. Check with your front desk concierge when you arrive for a schedule of that week’s unique events.

If I can help you find more entertainment throughout the Resorts and Parks, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
