We are SO excited to be staying at the AKL in a Savannah view villa this October! Can you tell me what type of coffee pot is in the room, and if coffee is provided or we need to bring/purchase some to keep in the room? Thank you!

Jambo, Sarah! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Having stayed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge in a Savannah View Room TWICE in the past 6 months, I can’t tell you how excited I am for you to experience the wonder of waking up to giraffes, zebras and more RIGHT outside your window! Being a longtime fan of coffee, I can tell you with certainty that there is, in fact, a coffee maker in your room. When I last visited, it was the Cuisinart “pod” dual dispenser type of machine, and it did come with coffee pods that were restocked daily. If ever you are in need of more, you can contact the front desk and they may be able to bring you some. Also, if you have a refillable mug, you can fill it up as many times as you would like at The Mara! If you are looking for a little java pick-me-up while out and about in the Disney Theme Parks, there are a number of Starbucks locations for you to visit.

There are so many great “perks” of staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! Did you know that there are complimentary sessions with cultural representatives in the lobby? My girls loved learning about different animals found only in Africa- they had to guess which animal had which skull, and what their diets consisted of. They still talk about it today!

I hope I have “bean” helpful and that you come and visit us again real soon!
