We are excited about Star Wars Weekend! We want to participate in all the activies. If we do, will that take up most of the day? Will we have time to see other attractions at HS, like Toy Story Mania, which is new for us? May the Force be with you Moms!

    Brian,

I do think my family could spend the entire day just wandering around and enjoying all of the Star Wars events, but we are ultra-nerds (I actually took a college class on the philosophy of Star Trek!).

My first question is are you planning on trying to do a meet/greet with any of the movie stars?  If so, you will want to obtain a fast pass (not counted against you if you want others) right away when the park opens.  In past years, each person who wanted to get a fast pass had to be present.  As you enter the park, stay to the left and move toward Indiana Jones; cast members will be there to guide the crowd who are seeking fast passes.

Once that is done, I'd try to go do the 3 biggies at Disney's Hollywood Studios:  Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror and Rock 'n Roller Coaster.  Perhaps you can grab a fast pass for one of them while riding the others with hopefully shorter waits if it is still early in the morning.

Then, you can map out the rest of the day deciding what other attractions you want to see from DHS as well as Star Wars Weekend since many of them will be held at specific times.  You may be pleasantly surprised to see you can quite a bit of both things in one day.

And of course, may the force be with you, too!!
