Hello! We are so excited to be planning our kids first trip to DW Nov 17-23. We have an ADR at Tusker House at 810am and are staying at Port Orleans. What time should we leave the resort and do the buses really run that early?

    Hi Candace,

The countdown is on!! Your November vacation will be here before you know it.

It takes about 30 minutes to get from your resort to Animal Kingdom.  Factoring wait time and walking, I would plan on being at the bus stop by 7:15 or so.  Be sure to let the cast member at the bus station know where you are heading and that you have reservations at Tusker House.  They can be quite helpful in getting you to your destination.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
