We are so excited to be planning our 3rd Disney World trip and with the addition of Galaxy’s Edge my husband can’t wait.I know that right now they’re using the boarding passes for smugglers run, does anyone know how long they using it?Trying to figure FPs

Bright suns, Catherine!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu.

I am so excited to hear that you and your husband will soon be able to live out your very own Star Wars adventure at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge!  I have had the opportunity to travel to Batuu and explore Black Spire Outpost on several occasions, and for a life-long Star Wars fan like me, walking into this immersive land is truly a childhood dream come true.

Currently, the FastPass+ system is not being used at either of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions.  We have not yet heard when or if this will change.  The boarding group virtual queue system that you heard about is actually being used for the land's newest attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.  If you think you have what it takes to ignite the spark of the Resistance, then head to Disney's Hollywood Studios early in the morning.  I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the park opening time.  Make sure you have all of the members of your party who wish to experience this attraction with you, and once you all have entered the park, you will be able to use your My Disney Experience mobile app to join a boarding group.  You will receive a notification via the app when your boarding group is called.  Your party then has a two-hour window to arrive at the attraction where you will find yourselves right in the middle of an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order.

If you're hoping to take over the controls of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, no boarding groups are necessary.  Guests wishing to experience this attraction may simply join the standby queue at any time.  It is also worth noting that there are some experiences in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge for which a reservation is recommended.

Please be aware that the procedures for accessing the attractions at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge are subject to change at any time.  I would recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest news and announcements.  As you get ready to travel to Batuu, be sure to check out these Disney Parks Moms Panel tips for making the most of your Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge visit.
