Hi! We're so excited to plan this trip. Our dates are 4/9-4/15, which I know will be a busy time during spring break. So my first question is, what are my options to minimize waiting in lines? Thank you!!!

Hi Kennedy! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to personally send me your question.

I'm so excited to help and thrilled that you're going to be taking a vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I definitely have some suggestions for you that will help minimize your wait in lines for attractions and other important parts of your vacation. When visiting the theme parks, Disney Genie+ service is a great way to experience many attractions with little to no wait. This is an add-on to your theme park ticket and you would need to purchase it for each person in your travel party over the age of 2 years old. With this service, you can select a return time for attractions, one at a time. You will be able to bypass waiting in the standby line and enter through the Lightning Lane entrance at the beginning of your return time window. I really love the convenience and flexibility that this service offers, allowing our family to skip waiting in line and ride attractions between snacking and meal times. You can read more about Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lanes here and here are some very helpful videos you can watch that will help show you how easy and convenient this service is to use.

Another tip I have for saving time in line is to take advantage of Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering using the My Disney Experience Mobile App. This is a great way to order ahead when your family is getting hungry. You can choose from participating dining locations, pick an arrival time window, skip the line, and pick up your food. If you prefer to dine at a restaurant, you can make advanced dining reservations up to 60 days before your arrival date.

As you are planning, I thought I would also suggest that you take a look at the Disney Resorts Collection when deciding where to stay. I highly recommend choosing one of the beautiful resorts to get the most out of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There are so many great benefits and amenities to enjoy and it's the perfect way to make your time more magical!

Kennedy, I'm so happy that I get to be a small part of your planning and I'm ready to answer all of the questions you have! Please feel free to send them to me at planDisney

    Happy Planning!
    Smiles,
    Lisa
