Margaret Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am excited to be part of the Dopey 2018 Challenge. I would like any information to get started, where to stay, fast passes, food options, park options, and who best to contact to receive information required. Thank you.

    Hi Margaret!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm glad to tell you that you have already found a great resource to help you plan your trip right here! I'm going to try my best, but I do want to let you know that we are limited on our response space so if there is anything that isn't answered thoroughly enough please come back and let us know. For resources, please feel free to ask any question to the Moms Panel, you can explore the Walt Disney World website, the runDisney webpage or even check out the Disney Parks Blog.

For where to stay during a runDisney event, there is a perfect spot for nearly every budget! I'd recommend figuring out approximately what you'd like to spend and then give a call to runDisney and they can help you book a reservation, you can reach them at 407-939-iRun. At this time, 2018 packages have not been released yet online so calling is the only way to make a reservation. The great thing is when you stay at any of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, all runDisney transportation is provided.

For your other inquiries, in the first video on this Disney Parks Blog post my friend Emille explains everything you need to know about FastPass+ and how it works. The Walt Disney World website can provide more information on each of the parks under Parks & Tickets and food options under the dining page. I know this was a lot of information in one response so please come back for more specifics!
