Hi. So excited about new york departure city. If reserve now, when do i have to pay by. Never done a DCL cruise. Confused on Dining. How does bfast and lunch work. Is May or Sept better for Bahamas? Will I get seasick?

    Hi, Alecia!

With all your great questions about Disney Cruise Line, it sounds like we just need to sit down over a cup of coffee to discuss these matters! Oh, well...we may have to have a virtual cup and let me explain a few things for you here.

To finalize your reservation, you can apply a payment using one or more credit cards, a Disney Gift Card, a Disney Rewards Redemption Card or a Disney Rewards Visa Card. You may put the reservation on hold if that option is available, or you may pay in full or put down a deposit to reserve your Disney Cruise vacation. The size of the deposit is determined by the cost of the cruise. Your full and final payment for Stateroom Categories 1-3 must be made 90 days prior to departure, and your full and final payment for Stateroom Categories 4-12 must be made 75 days prior to departure.

For breakfast and lunch, you are welcome to visit the Topsider Buffet. Of course, there are also options at other counter service restaurants located mainly on Deck 9. And then there's room service...available 24 hours a day and included in your cruise fare.

For me, anytime is a great time to sail with Disney Cruise Line. Of course, since you're thinking of a New York departure, you'll have a better idea of what the weather is like and how each time of year differs. I always prefer to vacation where it's warm when it's cold where I live and vice versa. As far as experiencing motion sickness, I personally have been fortunate to have never experienced it. Yet, I have friends who get patches from the doctor or wear the acupressure bands like psibands. If you think you might be susceptible, you may want to book a lower deck toward the middle of the ship.

I hope our little "coffee talk" helped you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
