I am so excited to be leaving for Disney in 2 wks. Staying at WL with a "woods view." When I complete my online check in I would like to request a room that is not too close to the WC cafe. My 4 and 5 yr old are light sleepers. Any suggestions

    Roxanne:

After meeting one of the general managers of the All-Star resorts last winter, I learned a lot about reservations and how to get the room I wanted.

In the past, I'd do a lot of research and make my room/building request.  Sometimes I got it.  Sometimes I didn't....

What I found, though, is that Disney is better able to help with a room request based on the information you just gave me ("My children are light sleepers.  I prefer to be away from Whispering Canyon Cafe") than if you had given them an exact room number.  Who knows?  If they couldn't get the room number you gave them, they might wonder if you're looking for a specific floor? near an ice machine?? away from the elevator??

Let Disney know your request on your reservation as soon as possible; double-check your request at check-in and, although they can't guarantee your room request, they'll do their best!

    Wishing y'all a magical--and quiet--vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
