We are so excited, we leave next week for our Disney Cruise we will be on the Disney Dream... My questions is if we would like to rent an unbrella at Castaway Cay do we need to reserve it on the island or on the ship before we get to the island..

    Hi, Carrie!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Dream -- and Castaway Cay is gorgeous! You're going to love your time there!

You do not have to reserve or rent umbrellas or chairs on Disney's private island.  There are plenty, and the further down the beach you walk -- the more of them you will find.  If you want to have a luxurious place to get out of the sun, you can rent a private cabana and book one of those before you leave home. The cabanas are about $500 per day and include concierge services like waitstaff and a stocked refrigerator. I know of two families from my hometown who are going in together to rent one for their day there, and the cabanas can service 8 people.

I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
