    Hi! So excited to go with my mom & kids 10 an 8 to POR Riverside in May. Want to stay in a Royal Guest Room but wondering if their location is further away from the main area than regular rooms and if the pool view is that of the pool with the slide?

    Hi Jodi-Ann,

    The Royal Guest Rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside are definitely fit for a princess. The Royal Guest Rooms are located in the Magnolia Bend section of the resort in the Oak Manor and Parterre Place buildings, which are near the Sassagoula Steamboat Company (the resort's main building.) The Pool View refers to a view of the resort's quiet pool, not the main feature pool. Ol' Man Island, the resort's feature pool (which features a slide) is located in the middle of the resort and is easily accessible from the Royal Guest Rooms. 

    For a great overview of the resort, I recommend checking out the unofficial site PortOrleans.org. I've used it to help me plan our stays at Disney's Port Orleans Resort and have found it to be invaluable.
