We're excited to go on our first Disney cruise! Our girls want to enjoy the camp together, but one is 11 & the other 8. Can an exception be made (perhaps a waiver) that allows them to enjoy the Oceaneer Club together, besides the Open House option?

Ahoy there, Adrien, and welcome to planDisney!  I am excited for you and your family to go on your first Disney Cruise Line vacation.

The age requirements for the Youth Activities are strictly enforced for the safety of the young Guests.  Guests ages 3 to 10 years will need to go to Disney's Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab, and Guests ages 11 to 14 years can go to Edge.  As you mentioned, they will be able to spend time together in the same Youth Activities space during Open House.  All Open House times will be listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, so make sure to have that downloaded prior to boarding the ship.

There are activities outside of the youth spaces for them to enjoy together!  They can go to the pool and watch Funnel Vision, see a movie in the Buena Vista Theatre, have their pictures taken with their favorite characters during meet-and-greets, and compete in trivia together.  There is so much to do on Disney Cruise Line!

Adrien, I know that you and your family will have a magical time. If you have any other questions, sail back to visit us at planDisney

    Wishing you a smooth sailing,
    JoVonn
