Hello, we are very excited to go to Disney World with all our family. We are taking 3 small kids(5,3 and 1) and our daughter and son in law! We hope we'll have a great time there! Let me know where is the best place to be on December, 31! Thank you,

    Dear Ita Regina:

There's nothing like experiencing Disney with family--and it sounds like you will be surrounded by yours!

You'll be at the Walt Disney World resort during one of the most exciting times of the year, but the festivities tend to bring crowds--and lots of them. It seems everyone wants to be at the Magic Kingdom for New Year's Eve, after all, they have not just one fireworks show on New Year's Eve but two. However I would actually recommend that you consider heading to Epcot for the day and evening.

Now, don't get me wrong: Epcot will be filled to the brim with guests, however, not to capacity like the Magic Kingdom. In fact, what I like about Epcot is that it has a lot more space in which to spread a crowd out around the World Showcase to see its Illuminations laser show than Magic Kingdom. Best of all, you can enjoy Illuminations at an earlier time for that one special evening, which can be a blessing with three younger ones in tow. Consider catching Illuminations and THEN eating a celebratory dinner. You can then either return to your room so that the kids are in bed close to their usual bed times or consider seeing that almost-midnight fireworks show at Magic Kingdom.

You don't have to fight the crowds at Magic Kingdom to see it either! Simply take the monorail over to the Transportation and Ticket Center's ferry on-ramp to the Magic Kingdom and locate the Magic Kingdom's castle in the distance. You'll be able to catch the special fireworks across the lake at the Magic Kingdom right before midnight!  And because you'll be at the TTC right after midnight, you won't have to fight the crowds out of the park to get transportation back to your hotel!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
