We are so excited for our first trip to WDW as a family. The absolute #1 priority is the Jedi Training Academy for my 2 boys so I want to be 100% sure I understand how to secure a spot. Can you please advise how I will do this on May 16th? Thank You!

    Hi Suzy!

Are you applying for Mother Of The Year award?  Your sons are sure to do the dishes for the rest of the year after you:
    1. Take them to Walt Disney World
    2. Go during Star Wars Weekends
    3. Sign them up for Jedi Training Academy

I can definitely relate to wanting to make sure you secure a spot for the Jedi Training Academy for your young Padawans.  Since Jedi Training Academy is first come, first sabered ~ my advice is to be at Hollywood Studios well before park opening.  Once Guests are allowed through the entrances and you have "Rope Drop" head straight to the ABC Sound Studio with your boys to sign them up.  During Star Wars Weekends there may be a queue of sorts for sign-up.  Look for signs and ask any Cast Member if you are in doubt.  It is a very popular attraction so the key is being at the entrance of Hollywood Studios at least half an hour before Guests are let in the gate.

My children have been fortunate enough to experience Jedi Training Academy and this strategy has worked well for us.  In general we really enjoy arriving at the theme parks before park opening as this gives us a chance to relax together, enjoy our morning beverages, and make our plans for the day.  There is something magical about gathering with your family right before you enter the parks.

My last tip is to double check the park opening time the night before you go to Hollywood Studios.  Park hours are subject to change and it's better to verify your park opening time rather than risk missing something important to you.

May the Force be with you,
    Brenda ºOº
