Hello! We are excited to take our first Disney cruise in a few weeks! Question: Are there supplied life jackets for use at the pool and at Castaway Cay for our kiddos? Thanks!

Hi, Amy! I'm so excited that your cruise is coming up soon and that your first is going to be on Disney Cruise Line. You've made a great choice that you won't regret!

There are life jackets provided at Castaway Cay for adults and children. However, for the pools onboard, my children (who weren't able to swim at the time) spent their pool time at the small pools and slides which only measure 2 feet in depth. Whereas, my big kids (who swam independently) spent time in the deeper pool. There was no need for life jackets for us.

On the Disney Cruise Line site, the policy on flotation devices states:

"Coast Guard personal flotation devices (PFDs), water wings and flotation sewn into bathing suits can be brought onboard and are permitted in Donald's Pool (Dream or Fantasy) or Goofy's Pool (Magic or Wonder). However, floats, rafts and fun noodles cannot be brought onboard and are not permitted in the pools."

I hope this helps you as you pack! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
