    Hi Amanda!

Welcome back to planDisney!  When I read your question, I knew I had to answer it. I have been lucky enough to dine at California Grill a few times. I was first introduced to California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort by fellow planDisney Panelist, Lynne. My first experience at California Grill exceeded my wildest expectations so much that I even have dined at this location solo!

The menu offers something for everyone in your party. If you love Sushi, I can’t recommend the Hand-rolled Sushi enough. If you love wine, be sure to ask your server for recommendations. They have this innate ability to pair only the best wine to compliment your meal. If wine isn’t your thing, there are also many other adult beverage options, including an excellent selection of Sake and Bourbons. Also, be sure to save room for dessert.

Since this location is considered a Signature Dining experience, there is a minimum dress code. Men must wear khakis, slacks, or dress shorts and a collared shirt. I would recommend khaki shorts and a polo shirt. Women should dress in Capri pants, skirts, dresses, or dress shorts. Jeans can also be worn if they are in good condition for both men and women. Flip-flops, tank tops, swimsuits and cover-ups, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, etc. are not permitted. I like to go back to my Resort hotel to freshen up before dinner, but this is not mandatory. The children don’t have to be dressed fancy and follow a similar dress code as the adults in your party.

I hope that you and your family enjoy dining in this beautiful location. The ambiance and service are top-notch. Make sure to come hungry!
