Welcome back to planDisney, Amanda! Your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is quickly approaching, and I'm excited to see
Disney Dreams That Soar is on your list! I've had the chance to view this amazing drone show twice now, and I'm truly mesmerized by the technology that brings some of my favorite Disney characters to life in such a unique way!
Currently, Disney Dreams That Soar is offered nightly at 9 PM and again at 10:45 PM at
Disney Springs, but I would recommend confirming showtimes on the
Entertainment Schedule when you arrive. Generally, the first show is much more crowded than the later show, so my first tip to try to avoid crowds as much as possible would be to hold out for the later show if possible! There is only one official viewing area for the show, which is along the walkway which follows the water, and can only be accessed near the West Side close to Cirque du Soleil. Once you arrive at the entrance, Cast Members will direct you along the walkway to secure your preferred viewing spot. The prime viewing spots are near
Summer House on the Lake,
Jaleo, and
House of Blues. While these restaurants do not offer guaranteed seating for the show, you could always request that when you arrive or when you make a reservation.
If you do decide to secure a viewing spot along the walkway, to avoid crowds, I recommend arriving close to an hour before showtime and heading down towards those restaurants and Starbucks. We found that many people would stop before those areas and the crowds were actually lighter the further down we went on the path. Another option is to view the show from
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. While the crowds will be significantly less, the show will project some images backward as you will be watching from across the water. On my most recent stay, we could actually see the images in the sky as we walked back to our room from the bus stop!
Amanda, I hope this helps you to find the perfect viewing spot for the show! It really is a magical experience and I know you will enjoy it! If you have any other planning questions, come on back to

Keep Soaring,
Alison
