Ahoy there Juan and welcome aboard planDisney!
Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the crew love a party with fireworks and there is no better display of pyrotechnics in the sea than during July 4th. When a cruise of an adequate number of sailing nights includes a special holiday there is usually a night to celebrate that holiday in addition to the swashbuckling adventures during "
Pirate Night" but it depends on the itinerary. Since I do not know which ship cruise you are sailing on (could be the
Disney Magic,
Disney Wish, or
Disney Wonder), I can share some general information about fireworks. For 4-night or less cruises, it will be less likely that there will be additional fireworks. The ship must be in open water for the fireworks as the vessel cannot be traveling between ports. Usually, the fireworks precede a "Day at Sea." Longer cruises have more sea days offering the opportunity for additional celebratory fireworks. Also, Disney Cruise Line will not replace "Pirate Night" fireworks with other fireworks.
I recommend you phone Disney Cruise Line and
speak with a cruise vacation agent in May or June to get an update. They may have no new information and then recommend you check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you get aboard for your voyage.
Juan, you will have a star-spangled cruise no matter how many fireworks are launched off the starboard side of the ship. Please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories on the High Seas.
