We are excited to take our daughters (3 and 6) to DW for the first time March 27-April 1. I have only been in the summer before. What clothing should we pack? Thanks. This panel is fabulous!

    Hi Janelle,

If you've only visited in the summer, you may enjoy traveling to WDW when its not hot as blazes.  Typically, the end of March / beginning of April brings average highs in the upper 70s and average lows of upper 50s to low 60s.

I'd recommend shorts and short sleeve tops during the day and have a sweatshirt or jacket on hand for when it gets cooler at night.  If you're cold natured, throw in a pair of jeans - just in case.  Its a whole lot easier to have them with you and not need them than it is to try to run around and find them once you're in Florida - especially if you're flying in and don't have access to a car.  You could also bring a light blanket for your girls in case they need it during the fireworks.

Central Florida usually gets around 3 inches of rain during the month of March.  Be sure to throw in some rain ponchos just in case.  I get the really cheap ones that I can throw away after it stops raining.  That way I don't have to keep up with wet ponchos until they dry.  If you are bringing a stroller for your girls, make sure you bring a rain cover for it if you have one.

Please bear in mind that weather changes.  When the people that just ran the Disney Marathon were first planning their trips, I'm sure they never expected the artic blast to bring snow flurries around the WDW area.  I'd recommend checking the weather forecast on-line before you leave.  You can get forecasts up to 10 days in advance which should help you for your final packing.  As for me, I always over pack.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.  We are honored to help!  Have a awesome trip!
