Hello there, Rachael! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending in your question!
Disney’s commitment to providing magical experiences for every single Guest is something that has personally inspired me to return to Walt Disney World Resort time and time again. As someone that has chronic illness, I understand just how important accessibility can be in all aspects of life but particularly when going on vacation.
Disney Parks Disability Access Service (DAS) Card is another step in promoting an inclusive environment where all Guests feel welcome. The Disability Access Service program allows accommodations for
Guests with disabilities who cannot wait in conventional queue environments. Guests with this service will be given a return time for an attraction based upon current wait times and may return to experience the attraction at this assigned time.
Disability Access Service cards are not tracked by a Guest’s ticket but, instead, utilize the
MagicBand system. So, as long as your daughter has her own MagicBand, she can receive a Disability Access Service card. In order to discuss the Disability Access Service and verify that your daughter qualifies for it, stop by any
Guest Relations main entrance location. Upon arrival, a Cast Member will assess your daughter’s specific needs and make sure she is provided with the best accommodations possible.
I hope your family has a very magical birthday vacation! Let us know if we can help provide you with any other information!
