We're so excited!! We are coming from Australia in September and staying at the Yacht Club Resort for 4 days, then moving to Art of Animation - we are so excited! We are a family of 5 with no car to help us move resorts - what are our options? Any tips?

Hi, Carol! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My family just returned yesterday from a week at the Walt Disney World Resort - I am already homesick! During our stay, we spent our first two nights at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the next three nights at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and our final two nights at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I think it is safe to say that I am now a resort moving expert! The night before our move, we simply contacted Bell Services and requested them to come to our room the next morning at a specific time to pick up our luggage. We also informed them that we were transferring resorts and provided the new resort information. The next morning, they called a bit before hand to make sure we were ready. When they came to retrieve our luggage, they issued a claim ticket to us that you simply show Bell Services once you arrive at your new resort. They would then bring the luggage right up to our room for us. The resort changes happen in the afternoon, so you will not have access to your items until late afternoon at your new resort. Make sure you have everything with you for the day that you would need. I was a bit worried myself about all the moving around, but I shouldn't have fretted in the least! Everything worked wonderfully for us.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Carol!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
