So excited to be celebrating my daughters 6th birthday with DCL! The count down is on!! How much time is there between the dinner and the live show? Is it wise to get to the theater early for good seats or is it assign seating so no worries?

    Ahoy Kyss! (Love your name!)

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question.

What an awesome way to celebrate a birthday - on a Disney Cruise Line vacation! I'm sure your little one is over-the-moon excited about celebrating with Captain Mickey and his crew.

From the way your question is worded, I'm assuming you have early dinner seating followed by the live show. Don't worry - you'll have plenty of time to make it to the Walt Disney Theatre after your meal. Early seating for dinner is 6:15pm, followed by the show at 8:30. You won't have assigned seats in the theater, but I can honestly say there's not a bad seat in the house. I've watched the shows from the front rows, and also from the balcony, and had wonderful experiences in both spots. If you DO want to be near the front, I suggest arriving at the theater about 30-40 minutes prior to showtime. Get ready to be wowed by the stage shows - the Broadway-style productions are amazing!!

Between dinner and the show, many guests will stop by the lobby area for photo opportunities with favorite Disney Characters. There are usually several on hand to meet and greet guests from 7:30-8:30. I encourage you to take advantage of the talented ship's photographers and take home some fantastic photos from your voyage! To be in the know about which characters will be appearing, simply check the "Character Appearances" section of your Personal Navigator - a daily schedule delivered to your stateroom each day.

I hope your little princess has the most magical birthday ever, and you and your family make memories to last a lifetime! - Diane W.
