We're so excited to celebrate our son's 4th birthday at WDW in January! Wondering if the Peter Pan's Flight ride has any sudden dips (similar to the one from Pirates of the Caribbean)? Your help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi John! Your son is one lucky little guy! There is no better place in the world to celebrate your birthday (of any age!)

When you arrive, make sure to tell guest services that it is your little man's birthday. They will give him a special birthday button with his name on it. I bring my kids every year on their birthday and they love to hear the cast members tell them "Happy Birthday" as they walk around the park.

Also, if you make any dining reservations, mention that you are celebrating your son's birthday on the reservation. Some locations will even bring out a cupcake with a candle and sing "Happy Birthday." You can also contact Disney Floral and Gifts and have them put together a special package for your child have it it delivered to your room. There are several packages available at various price ranges. Contact (407) WDW GIFT or for more information.

In regards to Peter Pan's Flight, there aren't any sudden dips like the one in Pirates of the Caribbean, but the ride is dark and the experience makes it feel as if you are flying. For many children, this ride is not frightening at all and it is a family favorite! One tip is that because this ride is so much fun for kids of all ages, the line gets long fast. I recommend visiting Peter Pan and Dumbo first when you arrive.

Tell your little guy "Happy Birthday" from the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!
