We are so excited and can't wait to see Alaska on our Disney cruise this June. How many nights do we need to dress up for? Is there a different show each night? If we have to choose between brunch and dinner to dine at Palo, which would you recommend?

    Welcome aboard, Helen!

Experiencing the jaw-dropping beauty of Alaska on the majestic Disney Wonder is an unforgettable adventure that you and your whole crew will be talking about for years. This voyage is very different from all the other itineraries and I'm excited to join you on your countdown. You and your buccaneers will have a wonderful time for sure.

Your 7-night Alaskan voyage will have 1 optional Formal Night and 1 Semi-Formal night as the recommended dinner attire. The rest of your dinners are the usual cruise casual. Remember that the professional photographers setup their Disney Cruise Line signature backgrounds in the evenings for those really nice family photos - dress up night would be a perfect time to pose for souvenir photos that will be frame-worthy when you get back home. Remember to dress in layers - just in case you decide to take a nice stroll on deck before or after dinner. The sunsets are gorgeous and on a clear moonlit evening it is absolutely mesmerizing. The evening shows will vary every night, so try not to miss any of them as the Broadway-style shows are spectacular, and the entertainment lineup are top notch too.

My absolute favorite restaurant is Palo... so my recommendation would be to do both dinner and brunch :-). If you do have to make a choice between the two, I highly suggest getting brunch reservations while you are cruising along Tracy Arm. You will have a gorgeous unobstructed view of the floating blue ice while enjoying a gastronomic feast. And as you already know, the service is impeccable. It is awe-inspiring to feel the Captain steer the ship as it navigates its way along the narrow passages of Tracy Arm. The up close view of the glacier and the water falls merits several minutes of admiration of these natural wonders. It is just gorgeous!

I hope this helps. Leave room for Chocolate Soufflé at Palo.

Wishing you & your family a magical Alaskan cruise!
