Hi Moms. We are so excited to have booked our next WDW trip for May 2016! I will be celebrating my 30th birthday with my husband and parents. I am trying to decide how to spend my birthday and wondered how you would all spend your perfect Disney day?

  • Happy Birthday! I think you've chosen the most perfect place to celebrate this milestone!

My best birthday begins with a a delicious room service breakfast and a visit to one of the magnificent Walt Disney World resort spas. Pamper yourself with a manicure, pedicure, or facial or do one of the packages for two, so you can include your husband - or your mom.

After a morning of pampered relaxation, I head to the Garden View Tea Room at the Grand Floridian for Afternoon Tea.  The pampering and relaxing continues! You can select from a variety of delicious teas (Eros is my favorite!) and delicate sandwiches, topped off with delectable scones or fresh strawberries and cream.  Oh. My. Yum.

Now, I head to Epcot.  I've booked my FastPass+ times for later in the day, beating the afternoon heat and ready to blaze into the night!  Toast to your happy day all across the "world", and no matter what your favorite cuisine, you are likely to find an amazing restaurant.  My choice would be Monsieur Paul, the perfect special occasion location, combining contemporary twists on traditional French cuisine.

Want to really blow the whole birthday bash out of sight?  Book an Illuminations Specialty Cruise, and enjoy the nightly Epcot laser and fireworks show from your own private pontoon boat.  You can even have a personalized birthday cake and some champagne for toasting while you enjoy the show.

The night is still young! Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at the Polynesian Village Resort would be my final stop.  Close that birthday out laughing with the people you love. That's what magic really is!
