Ahoy, Kimberly!
I'm excited to hear you'll be taking your first Disney Cruise this September - on the gorgeous Disney Fantasy! Make sure to take it all in as you board the ship - the crew members calling your family name and cheering for you as you cross the threshold is an experience like no other!
I'm glad to hear you're planning to take advantage of the excellent Youth Clubs during your sailing. Disney Cruise Line staffs the clubs with highly trained Youth Counselors that keep the kids engaged and entertained every time they visit. There's a wide range of activities scheduled each day, including games, crafts, Character visits, and more.
The
Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab are designed for children ages 3-12, and
Edge is considered the "tween" club, catering to kids ages 11-14. While your girls can certainly enjoy time together in the Club and Lab, you would need to get special permission for your youngest to visit Edge with her older sister. Since she's only nine, she may find the activities in the Club and Lab are more suited to her interests.
On your first day onboard, I encourage you to stop by the clubs when they offer Open House hours. Your girls can check out the spaces and find out what kinds of fun activities to expect during your sailing. When you visit Edge, you can speak with the counselors about the possibility of your younger daughter joining her sister in the club. While I can't guarantee they'll make an exception, the Youth Counselors are always willing to work with you to come up with the best solution for your family.
I hope everything works out for you! - Diane W.
