We are very excited to be arriving at Disneyworld in 3 days! I have heard that the gates actually open before the park open time and it's the rides that open at open time. What time would you recommend arriving for a 7am magic hour park open?

    Hi Judith,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for bringing your question to us! You might actually be at Walt Disney World when you’re reading this – how exciting! I hope you are having the most magical time.

Extra Magic Hours are one of my favorite benefits to staying onsite at Walt Disney World Resort, and I LOVE the extra early ones. Somehow the parks are even more magical early in the mornings, and in my experience, the crowds are pretty light – it takes real commitment to get up that early while on vacation! Judith, for 7:00 a.m. Extra Magic Hours, my family likes to arrive no later than 6:30 a.m. You will find people there even earlier, but I’ve always found that’s plenty of time to get into the park and onto attractions with very little wait. It’s so nice to arrive and get through security and to the “rope drop” area with a little time to spare.

As you’re planning, please remember that not all attractions are open during Extra Magic Hours. This list is a great tool for making your plan so you don’t waste any of your pixie-dusted time!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
