To exchange points with RCI do I first need to register with them ? And if so, what member ID do I use?

    Hello, Edwin!

In order to book a vacation at an RCI resort using your Disney Vacation Club Membership, all you have to do is call Members Services at (800) 800-9800, and tell the Cast Member assisting you which resort you'd like to choose, on which dates, etc.  Member Services will contact RCI on your behalf, and will contact you before booking your reservation should anything be different that what you had discussed (i.e. if your resort stay is actually in a moderate season, so it uses fewer points than you had thought would be needed for your vacation.)

Should you wish to peruse the RCI resort options available to Disney Vacation Club Members, there is a link on dvcmember.com's homepage.  To the right of that page, look under "Plan My Vacation" and you'll see "RCI" listed right underneath "Grocery List / Request Forms."  This link will take you to an RCI website where you can find that perfect destination for your upcoming vacation.  While it may look as if you can check for availability on that site, you cannot, since we are not members of RCI.  Contact Member Services at that point, so that they can contact RCI on your behalf, and search for availability for you.

Have fun finding that next adventure using your Disney Vacation Club Membership!  Send me any additional questions you may have regarding your Membership!  I love to help!
