Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mark!
I just returned from the most merry and magical
holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and I’m so happy to see you’re planning a visit very soon. Nobody decks the halls like Disney, and the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs are twinkling with festive lights, decorated beautifully, and smelling like gingerbread, peppermint, and all the tastiest treats.
I visited with several vegetarian family members, and it was easy to find vegetarian modifications or options around the parks. As we were planning, I was drooling over
all the plant-based options that recently debuted all around the Walt Disney World Resort, and the new Guide to Plant-Based Dining is so handy!
After consulting both the
Be Our Guest Restaurant menu and the
Guide to Plant-Based Dining, I can't confirm whether “the grey stuff” is considered vegetarian, Mark. When I tasted it, I felt like it was a cross between a chocolate mousse and a buttercream frosting, and I wonder if it may include gelatin. I checked the allergy-friendly menu, and it’s considered safe for those with egg allergies, but is not listed for dairy allergies, which makes me think it includes milk or cream.
I’m not able to confirm an ingredient list, and I realize you really do need that to make an informed choice. I recommend reaching out to the
Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com, as they will be able to confirm ingredients and let you know what is safe based on your needs. You may also check with a Chef when you arrive at
Be Our Guest Restaurant – there is always someone present who can help you determine what is safe for you to eat based on your needs.
I hope you enjoy your meal in the Beast’s Castle, Mark! The dishes truly roll out the red carpet for their Guests, and I hope you take the time to explore the different rooms in this gorgeous restaurant. Look up, down, and all around at all the Disney details – it’s just lovely. Enjoy every bite!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
