For example, my husband, eldest daughter (7) and I would like to ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. My younger daughter cannot. How do we not waste her Fastpass Selection? Won't one of us have to have a fastpass to go with her (she is 3)?

Greetings, Carolyn! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have a few ideas to help you make the most of your FastPass+ selections and your family time.

Yes, each guest over 3 using a FastPass+ lane must have their own FastPass+ reservation. If you are using a service like Rider Switch for your youngest that cannot participate in select attractions, I can understand that making a FP+ for her will seem wasted, as anyone under the age of 8 needs a guardian 14+ to ride with them. Often, my family of 4 with a toddler girl can’t use her FastPass+ reservations for the very same reason. Instead, we end up doing more animatronic attractions shows like our favorite Enchanted Tiki Room, character meet and greets with shorter lines like the Disney Visa locations, etc. We figure that if the elder members of the family can use their three selections plus the extras after we use the initial three, we have packed enough fun in the day.

If I can help you plan any other aspect of your magical vacation or lend more advice to this issue, please let me know. ~ Lindsey P.
