    What exactly is ROPE DROP.

    Hi Patricia!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

"Rope Drop" is, in a nutshell, the moment when each of Walt Disney World's Theme Parks officially open for the day. In many cases, this 'grand daily opening' has a bit of a fanfare, happening just before the official opening time of the park that day.

Magic Kingdom's "Good Morning" show is the most elaborate 'Rope Drop' at Walt Disney World. To see it, plan to arrive at Magic Kingdom's entry no later than 8:30am to process through bag check and the ticket turnstiles. Then, secure a view of the train station and wait for the fun to begin at about 8:45am (7:45am on Extra Magic Mornings if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel).

Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom each have 'Rope Drop' festivities as well, occurring just before the park opens each day. They're each different as far as their theme and events go, and are definitely a fun little 'extra' to incorporate into your Walt Disney World visit! Be sure to consult the Parks Hours to help with your morning plans.

I hope this information helps you with your planning Patricia!
If you have additional questions about your upcoming visit, please don't hesitate to write me back. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
