How exactly does rider switch work for the Rise of the Resistance once we secure a boarding group?

    Hi Wade! Welcome to planDisney!

In just a few days you will be exploring Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios! There is so much attention to detail on Planet Batuu and I highly encourage you to take the time to explore it. I discover something new on every trip!

I have been using Rider Switch Service for years and I am so grateful for it! It is such a time-saver when traveling with little ones that don't meet the height requirements for certain attractions. For Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you will want to snag a boarding group with the virtual queue first at either 7:00 AM or 1:00 PM for everyone in your party that plans to ride. When your boarding group is called, head to the entrance of the attraction and let them know that you need to use Rider Switch. They will check to make sure everyone in your party has a boarding group, then they will add the Rider Switch entitlement to those that will be enjoying the attraction second. The first group will enter the regular queue and experience the attraction, then the second group will enter the FastPass+ line (this queue is currently being used for services like Rider Switch and Disability Access Service return times) and skip the wait of the regular line. It is super easy!

I hope this helps, Wade! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
